We have all heard the phrase “build it and they will come” Well if you believe this to be true you could be very disappointed Anyone who has ever put up a website to sell a product knows that you need people to see your website in order to get sales You might have the most beautiful website on the planet, but if no one ever sees it, you will have zero sales

One tried and true way to promote your website is with article marketing Article Marketing is the use of an article to share information and direct traffic to your website You do not need to be a Pulitzer Prize winning writer to write a decent article You just need a plan An outline is your roadmap to writing great articles that you can use for article marketing

The use of an outline can be most helpful in article marketing An outline is a blueprint that can guide you through the writing process Every article should have a beginning, middle, and an end In other words, you need an introduction, body and conclusion The introduction will let your readers know where you intend to take them, the body will provide the great ideas or answers to a specific problem and the conclusion will wrap up and drive home the points you are trying to get to the reader

Start with a brainstorming session You might begin with headlines What are some catchy headlines that would entice a reader to actually read your article? Then take that headline and begin to expand it to provide valuable information for your reader People are looking for solutions to their problems You may have found this article because you need to write articles and don’t know where to get started This article may have the answers that fit your article marketing ideas

Write a draft using your outline Remember, it doesn’t need to be perfect; it’s called a draft for a reason You may have several drafts prior to the finished article that you actually publish We are all our own biggest critics so keep in mind that you are the only one who sees the draft, so keep working it until you are satisfied

Read and reread your article Does your article express the ideas that you intended? If not, go back to the outline and rewrite the portion of the article that strays from your original intention All the time you spend creating an outline will make it much easier to write a cohesive and well thought out article This will give you the best chance of succeeding at article marketing your website

If you are still unsure of the quality of your article, then run it by a friend to get a second opinion My guess is that your friend will see the thought and effort that you put into your article and give you a thumbs up
